Mountain View School District is a diminutive, rural public school district located in Kingsley, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. It includes Clifford Township, Lenox Township, Lathrop Township, Gibson Township, Harford Township and Brooklyn Township. The district encompasses approximately . According to 2000 federal census data, it serves a resident population of 8,700 people. District officials report that in school year 2007-08 the Mountain View School District provided basic educational services to 1,289 pupils through the employment of 110 teachers, 67 full-time and part-time support personnel, and 9 administrators. Lastly, the Mountain View School Disdtrict received more than $8.4 million in state funding in school year 2007-08. Zick, a long term member of the Mountain View School District’s Board of Education died. Mr. Zick was Board president for six years. He was first appointed to the Board of Education on August 8, 1983 and served continuously representing the residents of Harford Township and Lenox Township. A graduate of Mountain View High School, Class of 1967, James W.
